Welcome

The Morton Jr. High School Band program is comprised of nearly 200 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. The  band department offers curricular instruction in concert band for seventh and eighth students. The seventh and eighth ensembles are determined by grade as opposed to auditon, and the groups meet on a daily basis during the school day.  The sixth grade band is an extra-curricular activity that meets three times a week before school in addition to one weekly sectional practice.

The MJHS band program also offers instruction and performance opportunities in jazz band, marching band, pep band, chamber groups, drumline, and colorguard.
